Stockfish 8 openings

I like to play the level 8 computer from time to time, but unofrtunately its opening repertoire seems very limited. Against e4 it will almost always play the french defense, maybe in 1 out of 6 or 7 cases e5 and only very, very rarely the sicilian. Haven't seen a caro-cann or any type of modern setup from it yet.
Could the opening play of the engine be adjusted or supplemented with at least a few book moves for greater variety?
By the way the same applies to other white choices, against d4 the computer has only ever answered with the QGD so far, with the only variation being sometimes playing d6 first to allow a transposition to a french defense.
hmmm. well this might not be much help but you could just manually set a position you want on the board editor and continue the game from there against stockfish....problem is it wont allow you to do a computer analysis later from that game but yeah

thats the only solution i can think of
It's a crutch, giving the engine a book to access for the first couple moves and having it randomly change between them, or even just add a random element to the choice of the first moves should require minimal amounts of code and would make playing the computer much more enjoyable.
A lot of programs I've faced seem to have this problem. I've managed to do it offline by assigning the engine an opening book, but I don't know how to change the strength of the engine.
is really nobody gonna look into this? The computer plays the same opening every time.
Try 1.c4 and then, whatever the SF plays back, move 2.g3
