Puzzles

I have mentioned this already some months before ... the "training" puzzles don't make much sense. They are bad for training, as they provide negative feedback for good moves. Rating mate in 2 a "failure" when there is mate in 1 is didactically ... questionable. Also, doing good moves that lead to an overall winning position are *practically* as good as enforced mate, and should be rewarded as such. Every serious chess trainer knows this.

Chess in theory may be, but chess in practice definitely isn't a game of "perfect" moves. If you call this "training", you need to keep that in mind. Otherwise just call it a puzzle (in the head line), because that's what it actually is.
Sorry, but I don't agree. The puzzles say "Good move but you can do better". This is not negative feedback for good moves at all.

Bah, who cares about? Even being free...
If you're training, the goal *should* be to find the best move.
