Since yesterday or so, the Rematch button seems to be much bigger, and flashes at me if my opponent has requested a rematch. But how do I decline? There no longer seems to be a way of declining my opponent's rematch request!
You cannot explicitly decline anymore.
what is the point of that?
You can decline by going away from the game or entering analysis mode.
so the idea is to avoid simply ignoring rematch offers like it happened before when someone started the analysis or went offline?
The point is simplicity. The rematch UI is simpler now and does not have 'moving elements' anymore. However, to make this possible, the 'decline' button had to be sacrificed.
Have the same problem like discussed in this topic. I think "decline" the rematch would be more polite to my opp who requests one, I do not want just to leave without letting him know that I have considered his offer but this time decided not to accept it.
Declining should definitely be an option.
I agree that having a separate button was better and more clear than is the case now.
As long as leaving the page gives the other player the same "rematch offer declined" text, i have no problem with not having the button.
