The Black Lion - Deadly or No?

Anyone played this much, like players between 1700 to 2200+ ?
I've been playing it and often can't get the attack up the king's side to work as black; often I'll force it and it goes down from there. Sometimes is there just no going up the g and h file?
Probably not many play this Black Lion, it's a Pirc or Philidor type defense.
Anyone that plays it, what's your opinion on it? (on the other hand, sometimes I've blown away an equal player with it)

I'm assuming you're referring to the h6, g5 storm where Black doesn't castle? I might have tried this a few times, but never gave it too serious a try yet (I play the ...0-0 lines in the Philidor from Pirc move order)

Yes, thanks KN; the g5 storm with no 0-0, right. I've seen that video several times. GM Williams just wets your appetite on it, not much detail. I've got the Rekom and Jansen book on it but even it's missing a lot. Maybe I need to read it again. I think it's fine at my level; I went back and looked at my game and just missed a tactic that got me in trouble. I was up a R up to then.
It rarely gets to the point where you move your N from f8 to g6 to f4, like he explains. Other things 95% of the time happen.
Anyone else?
