They have sections also like Under 1200 under 1400 where the averages need to be under 1200 or 1400 etc ... So a 1500 could play board 1 even ... They have family teams mix and match teams of guys and gals ... also senior teams all playing in the same hall ... I may have been wrong about the 1000 teams but I do remember over 1200 players once or 300+ teams which is crazy' ... It's a fun event that GM's IM' everybody plays in NJ USA ... they also have a West North & South Tournaments the same weekend & the 4 winning teams Play a week or so after @juliegirl1999
