Takeback etiquette?

There's actually an amusing bug where if you take back 2 moves (say the other guy premoved and suddenly if you takeback it sets them back a move) very quickly the screen doesn't update and it stays on the original position until you try to move a piece, at which point it updates.
I suggested, might feature "propose take back the move" should be eliminated, because not in accordance with the FIDE rules for chess match. One of the unique game of chess is when you move, you must to be consistent, because in the move that is forcing us to think. Although I ever wrong move because the mouse, I feel embarrassed for "propose take back move". I chose to lose because it was our fault not our oponent.
I suggest it'd certainly be best not included in rated games as it could skew players' Glicko2 scores.
Just go into preferences and turn off the option for takebacks. Just turn it to never and your oppponent can't even request them.
> DunnoItAll: thanks for the information, I will try to follow your advice.
Never a lender or borrower be.
I never ask for takebacks and I never give them.
That's justice in action :)
If I mouse slip its same as if I went to hit penalty kick and fell on my face and hit the ball with my body. No retakes :)
> cptmajormajor: Agree. Apparently "take back move" can be modified in preference, as information from DunnoItAll. I chose that feature only for casual game, not in rated game.
Is that justice, Major?

Then consider me unjust. Pity and mercy is often an error that can cause troubles, but sometimes I want an interesting and fair game that isn't spoiled by a clumsy click.

On the other hand, a mouse-slip can also be considered a mistake or blunder in itself. In cards, "If it's laid, it's played" and does the touch-move rule not apply to online chess?

Whatever rocks your boat, I do not play chess for the art but as brain exercise and the ups of downs of 1 min chess. My idea of justice is to treat others how you want to be treated but of course everyone does not have the same idea :)
I play one minute mostly.
Yeah, bullet games are not conducive to takebacks.

I agree that justice is to treat others how you are treated.
