Do animals experience emotions?

If so, do they feel emotions in the same way humans do? If not, how do they undergo the world and what rules their behavior?
Maybe not exactly the same way as our emotions are kinda "cluttered" by our human consciousness. But the basics are the same.

Emotions are based on evolutionary traits. And most of them date back to lifeforms way in the past where Homo sapiens or even apes in general didn't exist.
If u have a cat, they show their emotion by eyes, teeth, ears and tail
Cats purr when happy, hiss when upset, and meow when they want something. That shows some emotion, doesn't it?
pain is just pain, happiness is just happiness... anger, love, hate, hunger, cold, tired are just what they are. In the same way you feel pain when you get kicked, an old dog feel pain if he gets kicked.
