Lichess Reset Warning

Hi there,

I was playing a game when the recent reset happened. After the reset, I refreshed the page to get back to the game. My opponent did not. They probably didn't know that the reset only took a few seconds and that they could refresh the page to come back to the game in progress. Heck, I don't know how resets work--maybe there was no refresh necessary? I won the game on time, but I'm pretty sure the other player just didn't know that they could come back.

The "Lichess will reset in X minutes" warning should tell players that they can return to their games in progress. Many (myself included up to a moment ago) aren't aware that this is how it works. This time, I ended up "winning" because of it, but a lot of people are probably "abandoning" games they would otherwise have played out.

I lost a game after the reset. I didn't know I had to refresh the page. My screen showed that I made a move and my opponent's clock was ticking down all the way to zero. My screen said I had 3:36 left and my opponent was down to 0:00. However, it turned out that I lost the game due to this technical bug.

It refreshes automatically for me and I get the lost time back usually.

I lost my game because of it. I had been playing in a lot of restarts in the past, I never had to refresh the page. That's quite annoying.
