multiple premoves

@vstiff "In real life you see with what piece opponent is capturing what before move is made and can pre-move accordingly,"

Not sure what you mean by that. If there was a way to premove in OTB chess, I'd sure like to know what it is, that would be funnnnnnnnnn.

uncrownedroyalty in a 1 min game playing without premoves against someone with premoves enabled is the same disadvantage..
and goldilocks, making valid premoves during a time scramble is part of almost every bullet game, just because you don't like losing to someone faster than you doesn't mean you should bash the idea; i hate losing like that too, i'm pretty sure everyone does
I don't know why so many people are against multiple premoves. It's nothing new (chess.com is not the only one to offer it). I'm fully for it. If it's not your thing, then just don't use it.
@Wafflesmack "uncrownedroyalty in a 1 min game playing without premoves against someone with premoves enabled is the same disadvantage.. "

Yes, and it's a huge disadvantage, which is why I said you're pretty much forced to use these features if the website you play on has them enabled. If not, you're giving a huge advantage away which is not fair or equitable.

@vstiff Lol, you're right- he really is premoving.
I have to think that'd be against the rules though, because I can imagine all kinds of trouble it could cause. For example, you play one move and before you hit the clock you change your mind and want to play a different move(with the same piece) taking a piece that your opponent has moved or which would make your new move illegal or just the fact that he moved the pieces and now with the pieces in a different arrangement then they were at the start of your turn it's a different position. You'd have to ask him to put the pieces back and the time he takes to do it would come off YOUR CLOCK?? That would be crazy and unfair. I've never played in an OTB tournament- how common is it for people to move the pieces after you've done your move but before you hit the clock? How common is it to do it before you've even made your move?
so whats your point then uncrowned? get rid of all premoves / anything that makes it easier to play? btw lets stay on topic here, its a forum for feature requests and feedback not general chess info
His point is that players who are familiar with multiple pre-moves will be advantaged over players who do not know-how/want-to use the feature.

Personally, I'm ambivalent towards the feature. Feels unnecessary for the amount of dev time it would take.
As a keen bullet player, I have to agree. I think multiple pre-moves actually detract from the game. Time pressure is a very real part of bullet - it is a tactic that, if you are even in a completely lost sequence, you can still attempt to trip your opponent up on time. It might make us upset, annoyed, or rage quit for minutes, hours, or days, but it's a valid strategy and tactic in bullet.

Multiple premoves remove some of that time pressure. For example, in the opening, on chess.com I have completed a sequence of about 10 moves without interruption doing a variation on the KIA or KID, and at the end of it still have 59 seconds, whereas my non-premoving opponent only has about 45 seconds. That is, admittedly, a slow opponent, but 14 seconds in bullet is as much as 30 minutes in a tournament game.

This, I believe, reinforces an earlier users post: you would have to use it to remain competitive.

However, I am personally loathe to see such a device on this site, as I believe multiple pre-moves remove a key strategy element from bullet at best, and at worst turn the last 10 seconds of a game into a mad scramble of 20 premove-chains, of moving your King, with no attempts of confusing your opponent with checks, blunders or sacrifices.
if you can make 10 premoves without interruption, then it's your opponent that's doing something wrong.
on having multiple premoves or not, i don't care either way.
