loosing by "leaving the game" while using a DGT board

one of 2 games I lost because of it. Can someone tell me why this happens and how I can prevent it?
I reported this problem several times in different posts. Others did so, too.
I came to the conclusion that nobody is interested. No one feels responsible to fix this bug or at least try to answer us.
Unfortunately, after its initial promise, it seems that the support for the DGT board on Lichess has ended, as there has been silence regarding this known issue for quite a while now. I am still able to use my board with a friend who will not take advantage of the victory when he gets the notification that I have left the game when I haven't, but I will not use it for other rapid or classical games. Such a pity...
It's a shame. I'm angry and quit playing here.
It could have been such a great feature...
#4 What does this mean? I don't have time to read all the forums and I only discovered this issue yesterday during my work lunch break while taking a break from supporting Multi-Variant SF, etc. and I filed the issue so Lichess could have an opportunity to look at it, assuming you've provided enough information for them to reproduce it. I see there has been conversation about the Board API in the Lichess discord, although I don't have time to follow it. I'm even considering purchasing a DGT board, minus the price point and closed-source nature of the product.

@Toadofsky:
Here is a post from the developer @andrescavallin from October 21 on the thread "Playing online with a DGT Electronic Board using the Board API (post #95). He was aware of this issue since early September.

I finally found the reason why some games are lost and tagged incorrectly as abandoned. This is because servers are getting confused and think players using the DGT board play page (/dgt/play) are having more than one game at the same time. Our opponents are receiving a message telling them that they can claim victory during our turn . So some of them do, some of them don’t . Until today someone said that to me o the chat and by the end of the game when I was about to resign I asked him to claim victory and see what would happen... and voila ... Lichess said I abandoned the game and even warned me for not resigning.
Good news is that now we can fix it for good.
I will inform everyone once this is fixed, since that is the last missing issue.
Thanks again to all for reporting these things.

I was a beta tester of this plugin, and the developer was very responsive to this issue at the time, so I assume that he is just on a long hiatus after the hard work he put into its development. I am still hopeful that this significant bug can eventually be fixed.
I know this post. But within three months nothing happened.
Let‘s be true: this wonderful plugin is totally useless when you lose game after game because of this bug.
I use a DGT board and had the same problem yesterday when I lost because lichess said I left the game.

Ok, this post explains why I played 20 games against a bot here without any problems. After I started playing again human players already my 3. game was lost because of this DGT-problem. This means that when my opponent has the chance to claim victory because of this bug human players often do it the bot instead does not claim victory but plays on.

Too sad. This means I can only use my DGT-Board against Bots here...
