I don't think the actual delay ("stabletime") is a big problem, at least not with time controls of 15+10 and longer. You can even change the stabletime parameter in the driver settings if you want to.
You lose time because you have to do your opponent's moves as well - you wait for the beep indicating that your opponent has moved, look at the clock or the computer screen which move it was and do the actual move on the board. No big deal, but still a bit awkward. And of cause you might lose a lot of time if you happen to miss a beep... :-)
